Mike Mason, a life-long resident of Reno, NV, passed away, unexpectedly on June 10, 2018 at the age of 61 peacefully in his sleep.
Mike was born in Reno on December 13, 1956 to Marvin and Patricia Mason. After high school, Mike joined the Army and served our country before returning to Reno to work with his father as a carpenter. He pursued this career for almost twenty years before he decided on becoming a bartender. He was a bartender for over twenty years at a few places. But his favorite place was Boomtown, where he worked for over fifteen years.
Mike really was a devoted bachelor. But then it happened…He finally met the love of his life Sheila. It was a whirlwind relationship. They met and married within a year. From there, they never looked back. They spent every moment together enjoying life, making memories and traveling. He was the happiest he’s ever been. Mike enjoyed, traveling, people, music, and an ice cold Budweiser. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his mother, Patricia Mason; his wife, Sheila Mason; his son, Eric Graff; His stepchildren, Brian, Kristen and Nick, his sister, Rachel Ainsworth and husband Sam Ainsworth; his brother, Mark Mason and girlfriend Shauna Regan; his grandchildren, Tannen, Jayden and Mason; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Marvin Mason.
