Obituary for Rosalinde "Linde" Schwamb Guevin

WINNING her battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, Rosalinde went to be with our Lord, on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Love n’ Joy Adult Residence, Reno, NV. She was 85 years old. The daughter of Dora Meta Hauser Schwamb and Martin Georg Schwamb, Rosalinde was born December 13, 1931, in Syracuse, NY. In 1955, Rosalinde married John H. “Jack” Guevin and moved to Reno in 1960. She grew up active in the German community with her Mother and her Sister and made several trips to Germany over her lifetime. From an early age, she loved performing in community theater and dancing, including working as an Arthur Murray Dance Instructor. Rosalinde worked for the Washoe County School District for many years as a school librarian, which reflected her love of reading and working with children. She was a Master Storyteller and delighted all with her stories. She loved traveling in the motorhome with her family and friends. Contributing to church communities throughout her life, she was a prayer warrior for others. Most recently she attended Harvest Family Fellowship in Reno, NV. It was her desire to live by example and encourage everyone in their search for significance, basing their self-worth on the love, acceptance and forgiveness of Christ. Those who knew her will hold their memories of her deep within them.
