Obituary for Jean E. Jackston

Jean E. Jackston, 88 passed away Sept. 22, 2016 at Renown Hospital. She was born Oct. 21, 1927 in San Jose, CA. to John and Helen Giaya.
She was raised on an apricot orchard in Mountain View, CA. and graduated High School from the same location in 1945.
She later married her husband, Robert Jackston (deceased) in 1949. Together they lived and raised a family in Palo Alto, CA.
An adept bookkeeper, she worked for both commercial and family business.
In 1998 they retired and moved to Verdi, NV. She traveled, entertained family, and was a devout member of the Catholic Church.
Jean is survived by her two sons; Darryl of Mesa, AZ, and Brad of Verdi, NV, and her elder sister, Ann Giaya of Los Altos, CA.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 from noon to 1:30 at Walton's Sierra Chapel 875 W. Second Street, Reno, NV.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows Most Holy Redeemer Chapel on the same day at 2:30 located at 2700 N. Virginia Street, Reno.
Entombment will immediately follow.
