Doris J.( McNinch ) Eyheralde

Doris was born on August 23, 1931 at Winnemucca, Nevada . The seventh child born to Dossich H. and Mabel J. (Gebhart) McNinch

Doris passed away on August 22, 2016, at age eighty-five, a day before her eighty-sixth birthday. She had a colorful life and had many talents. She possessed character, strength, intuitive nature, and a never give up attitude. She showed her determination to succeed in life and had a kind heart. She was raised on the family ranch west of Winnemucca with her siblings, five brothers and five sisters. Attended public schools in Winnemucca through high school. She married Victor F. Eyheralde on June 3, 1948. After managing a grocery store in Beowawe, NV, the couple moved to Reno, NV where Doris enrolled in a business college and became an executive secretary. Working for doctors at St. Mary’s Hospital and then went to work as Executive Secretary at the Veteran’s Hospital for thirty-four years before retiring. Doris also owned her own business, Tappercize Inc. for twenty-five years. She enjoyed dancing and teaching her many students over the years how to turn tap dancing into a form of exercise. She was always physically fit, rode a bicycle, enjoyed walking and riding her horses. Sewing was a hobby she thoroughly loved and became an excellent seamstress. Making beautiful clothing for herself and sewing for her siblings, nieces and nephews. She dressed for work and special occasions with a touch of class. Doris was very business like and professional in everything she did. Football was a sport she liked and she rooted for the 49ers and the UNR Wolfpack. She will be missed by her family, friends and all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband Victor Eyheralde, sisters Grace McErquiaga, Dorothy Hammond, brother Hank McNinch and numerous nieces, nephews.
