Lizbeth Lynn Covolo Ibaibarriaga
Lizbeth Lynn Covolo Ibaibarriaga peacefully passed away Thanksgiving evening, November 28, 2013. Born in Albuquerque, NM, she graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a degree in sociology. Liz moved to Reno in 1978, worked at Harrah’s showroom, the real estate industry, and with her husband, has owned the Hickory Farms franchise in Reno for 26 years. Her passion for underprivileged children led her to participate as a CASA volunteer for many years. For the last few years, she greatly enjoyed working with Aly’s Prom Closet.

Liz is survived by her husband Jose, her son Rafael, her sister Claudia Covolo of Reno, and her in-laws in Spain. She joins her son Christopher and her parents Ollie and Italo in heaven.

A Catholic Mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Therese Church of the Little Flower, 875 E. Plumb Lane, Reno, on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 1:00 pm. The family wishes to thank the wonderful medical personnel of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Tahoe Pacific West for their outstanding care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Aly’s Prom Closet (please make checks payable to Family Counseling Services, 575 E. Plumb Ln., Reno, NV 89502 and note Aly’s Prom Closet / Liz Ibaibarriaga), or to Casa De Vida, Attn: April Gonzales, 1290 Mill St., Reno, NV 89502. All contributions are tax deductible.
