GENERAL PRICE LIST

These prices are effective as of April 13, 2016, but are subject to change without notice.

The goods and services shown below are those that we can provide to our customers.  You may choose only the items you desire.  However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead.  If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you have selected.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

BASIC SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF                                              $2,395.00

This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select.  (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremation, immediate burial, and forwarding or receiving remains.)  Our fee for the services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to, staff responding to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family or responsible party;   ordinary sheltering of remains; arrangement of funeral, graveside, memorial service or other ceremony; preparation of the death certificate, necessary authorizations and permit; preparation and placement of obituary notices; staff assistance prior to, during and following the ceremony, including coordination with those providing other portions of the service, i.e. cemetery, crematory, clergy and/or any other necessary parties.  Also included in these charges are overhead expenses relative to our facility such as insurance, maintenance and utility expenses, secretarial and administrative costs, equipment and inventory costs.

EMBALMING                                                                                                                         $600.00

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law.  Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing.  If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial

FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND STAFF

USE OF STAFF AND FACILITIES FOR VISITATION                                           $295.00 per day

Our services include set-up of the visitation room, placement of the deceased, arranging floral displays, supervision of and assistance during the visitation.

USE OF STAFF AND EQUIPMENT FOR FUNERAL CEREMONY                                    $495.00

Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangements, set-up and supervision of the funeral, arranging floral displays, and staff and equipment to conduct the funeral ceremony.  If the ceremony is held in our chapel, the use of these facilities will be included.

USE OF STAFF AND EQUIPMENT FOR REMEMBRANCE GATHERING                       $495.00

Our services include coordinating the memorial service arrangements, set-up and supervision of the memorial service, arranging floral displays, and staff and equipment to conduct the memorial service. If the memorial service is held in our chapel, the use of the facilities will be included.

USE OF STAFF AND EQUIPMENT FOR GRAVESIDE SERVICE                                       $395.00

Our services include coordinating the graveside service, set-up and supervision of the graveside service, and staff and equipment to conduct the graveside service.

USE OF STAFF AND EQUIPMENT FOR COMMITTAL SERVICE                                     $125.00

Our services include coordinating a committal service following a funeral ceremony, set-up and supervision of the committal service, and staff and equipment to conduct the committal service.

USE OF RECEPTION ROOM                                                                                                $295.00

If our facilities are used for visitation, ceremony, or service, a Cleaning Deposit may be charged on your original statement.  This Deposit will be refunded in whole or in part if professional cleaning is not required.

TRANSPORTATION

All transportation charges contained within this list apply to a service radius of 30-miles.  If we exceed this service area, in addition to the basic vehicle charge, which covers 30 of the total miles traveled from our facility, we will make an additional charge of $3.50 per loaded mile for a staffed vehicle. If an overnight stay is required due to the round-trip exceeding 400 miles or, due to no fault of ours, our driver and vehicle cannot safely return the same day, there will be and additional charge of $250.00 (for overtime, hotel and meal expenses).

MINIMAL SERVICES

RECEIVING A DECEASED PERSON FROM ANOTHER MORTUARY                              $1,385.00

Basic Services of the funeral director and staff; transfer of the deceased from the Reno Tahoe International Airport or other local debarkation point to the funeral home, cemetery or crematory; NOTE: additional transportation fees will apply if from another airport or debarkation point.  NOTE: This service does not include staff, facilities or equipment for viewing/visitation, funeral ceremony or committal service and does not include merchandise or cash advances made by us on your behalf.

FORWARDING A DECEASED PERSON TO ANOTHER MORTUARY                              $1,775.00

Basic services of the funeral director and staff; transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home (within a 30-mile radius); embalming and/or other necessary preparation of the deceased; dressing, casketing and cosmetics of the deceased; transportation of the deceased to Reno Tahoe International airport or other local embarkation point; NOTE:  additional transportation fees will apply if to another airport or embarkation point; NOTE:  Other items required may be a Combination Shipping Container or Air Tray.  Airlines require the use of an approved Combination Shipping Container or the use of a Casket and Air Tray.  If any other services such as viewing and visitation or funeral ceremonies are requested and provided there will be additional charges.  This service does not include merchandise or cash advances made by us on your behalf.

IMMEDIATE BURIAL

Our charge for an immediate burial (without ceremony) includes:  basic services of funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home (within a 30-mile radius); preparation of death certificate and permit; and local transportation to the cemetery.

Immediate burial is the process of arranging for the burial or an unembalmed body as soon as possible after death.  If difficulties in filing a death certificate and/or securing the necessary legal permit immediately and/or the cemetery’s inability to open a grave on short notice delay the immediate burial longer than 24 hours after death, the deceased must either be embalmed ($600.00) or refrigerated ($275) in order to comply with Nevada State law (NRS.451.675)

ESTATE FEE

This fee is charged whenever the account for our funeral goods and services is to be paid   $495.00

through the probate of an estate or other litigation, which delays the full payment of the account for more than 30 days.  We do not normally take payment via the probate of an estate or other litigation; however, in the specific circumstances that this is the only method of payment possible and when the executor of the estate is not the next-of-kin, we may accept this form of payment.  Interest charges, as described on the Statement of Good and Services, will also apply.

CREMATION SERVICES

DIRECT CREMATION WITH NO VIEWING – NO CEREMONY                   $1,325.00 to $6,320.00

If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container.  Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are:  cardboard containers, composite containers, fiberboard containers, softwood containers and hardwood containers.  We also offer a selection of cremation-oriented caskets that are suitable for cremation.  This discounted package includes Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff; transfer of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home (within a 30-mile radius); preparation of necessary authorizations, death certificate and permit; utility vehicle for securing certified death certificates.  You may select from a wide variety of urns.

This fee includes unscheduled delivery of cremated remains to a cemetery or facility within a 30-mile radius of the Reno/Sparks city limits.  If we are requested to assist in this manner, this charge will be added to any cremation plan you select (we will waive this fee if we are involved in a funeral or memorial service).

Delivery of Cremated Remains – Scheduled                                                                  $195.00

This fee includes delivery of cremated remains to a cemetery or facility within a 30-mile radius by a specific date and time.  If we are requested to assist in this manner, this charge will be added to any cremation plan you select (we will waive this fee if we are involved in a funeral or memorial service).

Shipping of Cremated Remains                                                                                           $115.00

This includes the packaging, transport, and mailing of cremated remains by USPS Priority Mail Express (others, e.g. Fed Ex, will not accept cremated remains) anywhere in the United States (add urn).  Due to the range of international regulations and shipping fees, the cost of mailing cremated remains to other countries (including Canada and Mexica) will vary and will consequently be assessed on a case-to-case basis.  To be safe, allow 3-5 business days for USPS Priority Mail express in the continental U.S.  Fee includes up to $100 of insurance on the urn/container.
