Obituary for Albert Don Matteoni
Albert Don Matteoni passed away quietly at home on January 7, 2019, at the age of 86.
A native Nevadan, Don was born in East Ely, NV on Jan. 20, 1932.
He graduated from the University of San Francisco, majoring in Accounting. He then joined the Army and served as a tank commander in Europe. He later worked for Sierra Pacific for 26 years.
Don and his wife Molly recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 18, 2018.
He will be lovingly remembered always by Molly, his sons, Jeff and Kevin (Marlene), grandchildren Mone't (Brian), Brittany (Nathan), Dominic, Allison, Anthony and great-granddaughters, Brylee and Elyse, and may nieces and nephews. He will be welcomed into heaven by his oldest son, Donnie.
A rosary will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 at 6p.m. at Walton's Funeral Home, 875 W. 2nd St. in Reno.
A mass will be held at St. Albert the Great church, Jan. 18, 2019 at 12:00, followed by burial services at Mountain View Cemetery.
