Obituary for John DiCicco

Jack grew up in Wakefield, MA. He joined the Marine Corp and served in the Korean War. His distinguished service included the rank of sergeant and a sharp shooter. His mother introduced him to his beloved wife of 68 years, Joan. Jack’s first concern was always, what could he do to help his family, in any way possible.

A hard working man, he took an early retirement from Walbar Corp in Peabody, MA. The family moved to Atlantic City, NJ and then Carson City/Reno, NV for his encore career as a casino dealer, for fun. Jack enjoyed playing pool with family and friends and being in northern Nevada, away from the harsh New England winters. He remained an avid NE Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins fan!

The family would like to request donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc in lieu of flowers. Jack did not have Alzheimer’s, but was affected by his wife’s affliction with this illness. He never gave up hope that a cure and a miracle would bring Joan back to him.
