Life Story for Christine Cordova

Christine Cordova Jan. 6, 1932-Dec. 4, 2018
Christine was born Jan. 6, 1932 in Los Angeles, Ca. She was first generation born in the US. Her parents migrated from Romania. She graduated from Canoga Park High School. She was a PFC in the Women’s Army Corp, serving as a PBX operator. She married Gus Cordova July 9, 1951. She loved her family. Her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were near and dear to her heart. She was an excellent cook and always had a wonderful Christmas Eve spread, inviting family and friends over to enjoy the meal. She had two green thumbs! She loved gardening and was thankful for a great harvest of vegetables, fruit and flowers this past fall. She also loved her country, so much so that even though she was riddled with pain, she made her family help her get out and vote just before the polls closed, even though it was very cold. She also treasured her relationship with her Lord Jesus. She prayed and relied on Him through these last difficult and painful years. She loved her husband of 67 years. They’ve known each other since she was 14 and he was 16, 73 years ago! She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, sons Steven and Kristopher and grandson Jacob. She is survived by her husband Gus; sons Dennis, Phillip, Patrick and daughter Camille; grandchildren Eric, Stephanie, Jeff, Dana, James, Paul, Phillip Jr., and Matthew. She will be greatly missed by all.
