Maria Medina Sison was a native of San Jose, Las Pinas in Metro Manila Philippines. She was the eldest of 10 children by Paula Velasquez and Alberto Medina.

In 1956, she married Eliseo A. Sison Sr and bore 7 children; 6 of which are living and 1 deceased.
In the summer of 1989, she moved to the United States. She stayed briefly in California before moving to Reno in 1991. She worked at Harrah’s Casino for 12 years. She retired in 2003.

Maria has lived a full life. She has also taken great care of her family and those dear to her. She always looked after their best interest.

Later in her years her annual birthdays have become a family reunion to mark the celebration of her life.

Maria was widowed in 2015.

She passed last November 22, 2018 at the age of 88.

She is survived by her children: Rebecca, Teresita, Eliseo Jr., Marietta, Frederic & Dennis John; her daughters-in-law: Nolie and Citamarie and son-in-law Richard; her grandchildren:Jayson, Jhoanna Paula, Kelsey, Hazel Marie, Carson, Carie Mae & Carlo John; her great grandchildren: Eizley, Jayden Ely, Kevin, Nathan, Chloe, & Kyrie; her siblings: Candido, Irenea, Apolonia, Herminigildo, Thelma, & Eleanor; her sister-in-law Gertrudes and brother-in-law Angelito.
