Craig Vandelist MD; born April 23,1961 in San Antonio Texas, passed away on November 20, 2018 from complications of Leukemia at the age of 57 years.

Craig grew up in West Bend, Wisconsin graduating from West Bend West High School in 1979. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison graduating with the degree of Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering in 1983. From there in 1987 he achieved the degree of Doctor of Medicine. Craig Vandelist went on to the University of Arizona to complete his residency in Anesthesiology and moved to Reno Nevada to begin his career with the Associated Anesthesiologists Group.

Craig met his wife Gail and married on September 12, 1997. He was an avid outdoorsman mastering many sports such as mountain biking, hunting, kayaking, and heliskiing to name a few. He loved to travel the world seeking adventure. This die hard Wisconsin Badger fan and Green Bay Packers fan could be found at his Lake Almanor house enjoying a nice scotch, cigar and good debate with the family and friends he loved. Craig could also be found donating his time to repairing the Tahoe Rim Trail.

Survived by his wife Gail of 21 years, parents, Gary and Karen Vandelist of Waupon, WI; Mother-in-law, Elizabeth "Pat" Yeckley of Verdi, NV; Brother, Scott (Jill) from Waupon, WI; Sister, Cindy (Steve) Baumgartner of Neenah, WI; brother, Mark (Marlou) of Windsor, CO; nieces, Adrea, Rene, Eva, Krista, Sabrina; nephews, Kurt, Calvin, Connor, and Jack as well as many great nieces and nephews.

The family is holding a rosary vigil on Monday November 26, 2018 at 5pm and funeral services at 11am on November 27, 2018 at Our Lady of the Snows located at 1138 Wright Street Reno, NV 89509. The family invites you to a reception immediately following the funeral service at the Parish Center 1200 S. Arlington Avenue Reno NV 89509. He will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio.

n Lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Tahoe Rim Trail, or American White Water Rafting.
