Mr. John Bethel died in his home on November 7, 2018 in Sparks, NV.
John H. Bethel was born on December 31, 1945 in Alhambra, CA to his parents, Henry and Essie Bethel. He married Ramona I. (nee Sandoval) Bethel in 1976. John and Ramona lived in Southern California where John worked as a Laundry Manager before moving to Reno, NV in 2000. John retired in 2011 from the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino in Reno, NV and dedicated his remaining time to his wife, grandchildren and his 1965 Chevy Malibu.
John is survived by his wife Ramona, his daughters Stephanie Newton (Cory), Kim Nugent, Arlene Voskamp (Jeff), his son Steve Contreras (Tracy), 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son John M. Bethel.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday December 1, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the West 2nd Events Center at 600 W. 2nd St., Reno, NV. All are welcome to attend and celebrate John's' life.
