Obituary for Rodolfo Manuel Torres

Rodolfo Manuel Torres, 43, was foremost a husband, son, and dear friend to many who cherish his memory and mourn his loss. He died tragically on November 10, 2018 in Reno, NV, while putting others before himself.
Manuel was born in Madrid, Spain to Rosa Morales and Rodolfo Torres. He spent his childhood experiencing and traveling the world. A lover of nature, food, and all things with engines, Manuel made the world a richer place for all who knew him. His global worldview impacted Manuel’s zest for life and desire to share experiences with all those who came into his orbit.
In 1998, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Parks College of Engineering (followed by his MBA from The University of Michigan years later) and chose to live in the United States. He was a proud American citizen.
While living in Grand Rapids, MI, he met his true love, Rachelle, and the two were married in Valencia, Spain in May 2008. They lived in many locations, finally settling in Reno. Manuel recently joined Aerion Supersonic, a company he embraced as family as much as he embraced their goal of creating a faster future.
He is survived by his wife, Rachelle, his parents, Rosa and Rodolfo, and his dogs, Comet and Luna.
In lieu of flowers please honor Manuel’s love of dogs by having donations sent to The Humane Society of Huron Valley, 3100 Cherry Hill Road, Ann Arbor MI 48105 hshv.org/memorial
The family asks you spend more time with the ones you love, experience nature, and help one another in any way you can; that would be Manuel’s wish.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 10:00 am: Ross, Burke, and Knobel 2155 Kietzke Lane, Reno Nevada 89502
