FERNLEY – Sharon Tarner Jackson, 68, died Thursday, October 25, 2018, in a Reno hospital. She was a proud Nevada native, born on January 19, 1950 in Reno and raised in Sparks. She was a graduate of Sparks High School and attended the University of Nevada. She was an auditor for the Nevada Industrial Commission, later known as State Industrial Insurance System, and she was a partner with her husband in Jackson Insurance Agency.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, David Dean Tarner, Sr. and Catherine Snyder Tarner, and her daughter Michelle. Surviving are her husband Richard Jackson, and her children, William Lehman (Michelle), Katherine Nichols (Clinton), Jennifer Cunningham (Matthew), and Rebecca Hall (Travis), and her grandchildren Shyenne, Trevor, Kirsten, Tyler, Corissa, Kylie, Tristen, Logan, Laura, Alexis, and Ashton, who will always fondly remember her as their loving Nana. She is also survived by her brothers David Dean Tarner, Jr., Daniel Tarner (Sheila), and Gerald Tarner (Julia),
A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, November 3, 2018, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery, 2700 N. Virginia St., Reno, Nevada.
