Condolence From: Jill Wilkinson
Condolence: Tom has been in my life since 1989 and then becoming my father in law in 1992. I have fond memories of him taking photos at my wedding to his son Kenneth. He was so "daring" always trying to capture the perfect "photo." I remember him crawling through the bushes behind us to capture the perfect moments. It was just funny site, but he got some great photos. When I look at my wedding album, I will always think of him.

Tom was an amazing grandfather to Andrea and Sheldon. Andrea developed a love for photography because her Gpa Tom encouraged her and tutored her in the art since she was very young.. Her first digital camera came from her Grandpa when she was in grade school. She continues to blossom in photography and appreciates all that she learned from Gpa.

Grandpa Tom was Sheldon's #1 fan. Tom traveled across the state of Nevada, Tahoe, and Truckee, to photograph years of football, wrestling, and baseball during Sheldon's athletic career at Spring Creek High School. Tom always gave the photos to Sheldon's coaches and fellow teammates. I remember at a Regional Baseball play off game, Tom tried to sneak onto the baseball field to capture those great action photos....we feared that SCHS would get some kind of technical penalty when the umpire came and ordered him off the field. Thank goodness SCHS didn't. Tom attended a couple U.N.R. football games last year to watch his grandson fulfill his dream as well.

Tom loved the outdoors and would come to Spring Creek every fall to photograph the beautiful fall foliage of Lamoille Canyon. He was heartbroken about the recent fire that swept through the canyon. He would come photograph Sage Grouse strutting grounds during mating season too. He had no problem waking up early to drive to our destinations.

Tom enjoyed big game hunting. Ken took Tom hunting for over 40 years. Tom even took me hunting one year when Ken was unable to go. Tom was a trooper. He hiked around the mountains pretty well even after to two knee replacements.

I am sad as I think about him being gone. He enriched my family's life in so many ways. He was interesting, kind, gentle, loving, and funny. I miss him so much already and I will hang on to the fond memories of him forever. Love you to the moon and back Tom. xoxoxo

Condolence From: Craig Eyre
Condolence: At this time of your loss, we send our love, sympathy and hope that these words will comfort and give hope to you and your loved ones.

Throughout the ages, countless people have asked the question posed by Job: “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14). To shout “Yes!” in answer to such a question is the great privilege of those with a testimony of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection.

Yet many around us are passing through this life “without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:12) and must navigate between various facts and beliefs regarding death.

But the assurance that our lives don’t end at death comes from God, who has revealed it from the beginning through numerous witnesses, including prophets, apostles, and, most important the Holy Ghost.

Because of the Fall of Adam and Eve, we are subject to physical death, which is the separation of the spirit from the body. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, all people will be resurrected and saved from physical death (see 1 Corinthians 15:22) Resurrection is the reuniting of the spirit with the body in an immortal state, no longer subject to disease or death.

“What have we to console us in relation to death? We have the greatest hope and consolation for our deceased love ones of any people on the earth.” When beloved family members or friends die, we have great comfort in knowing we will meet them again in the life to come. Let us share with you our belief that families are forever and that we will meet again as families and loved ones.

Please let us answer your questions of where we came from, why we are here on this earth and where we go after this life.
