Condolence: At this time of your loss, we send our love, sympathy and hope that these words will comfort and give hope to you and your loved ones.

Throughout the ages, countless people have asked the question posed by Job: “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14). To shout “Yes!” in answer to such a question is the great privilege of those with a testimony of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection.

Yet many around us are passing through this life “without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:12) and must navigate between various facts and beliefs regarding death.

But the assurance that our lives don’t end at death comes from God, who has revealed it from the beginning through numerous witnesses, including prophets, apostles, and, most important the Holy Ghost.

Because of the Fall of Adam and Eve, we are subject to physical death, which is the separation of the spirit from the body. Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, all people will be resurrected and saved from physical death (see 1 Corinthians 15:22) Resurrection is the reuniting of the spirit with the body in an immortal state, no longer subject to disease or death.

“What have we to console us in relation to death? We have the greatest hope and consolation for our deceased love ones of any people on the earth.” When beloved family members or friends die, we have great comfort in knowing we will meet them again in the life to come. Let us share with you our belief that families are forever and that we will meet again as families and loved ones.

Please let us answer your questions of where we came from, why we are here on this earth and where we go after this life.

Condolence: I watched your service livestreamed yesterday. There are so many lives you touched and so many who loved you so. I remember when I was a kid going over to Uncle Stanley and Aunt Mary Gaines on Doolittle. We were always so thrilled and excited when we knew you and Aunt Martha would be there too. Simpler times...sometimes I yearn for them. I remember being called into the office one day thinking I hadn't done anything wrong. I got there and was told to get my things that I needed to go home. No reason was given as to why. When we got home you and Aunt Martha were there with AliceAnn and daddy christened AliceAnn. I remember when I was out in southern California that I got the opportunity to come see you and the family and attend South Reno Baptist Church with you all, the year 1994. It was an amazing weekend. I wish I had taken some time to come back and visit as I wanted to and bring my family. I have peace knowing you are with God. I have the blessed assurance that I will see you again someday. You will be greatly missed, but love lives on. I love you Uncle Bob, and like the Dolly Parton and the copy by Whitney Houston says "I Will Always Love You."

Condolence: He was special to everyone and made everyone feel special to him. He was like an answer man for just about any topic-the Bible, relationships, history, grammar, and everything else. I especially like the words that he was "soft" on the inside, and seemingly "stern" on the outside. His passing is a great loss for our church, but we're all so blessed to have known and loved him.

Condolence: To the family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that the promises at Revelation 21:4 and John 5:28,29 can comfort and sustain you in this time of sorrow.

Condolence: I have loved you Uncle Bob, since I was old enough to know who you were. I grew up always hoping you would be at Grandmother Tassie’s house when we went to visit. You taught me how to play Canasta and Uncle Kenneth and I loved beating you at Hearts any chance we got. I loved when you all came to visit. I loved how crazy you were about Aunt Martha and sweet Aliceann.
I have missed you for a long time because of the geographical distance between our families.
I will miss you for a while longer and I will love you forever.
LeaAnn
