Silvio Mariotti, 84, passed away peacefully on August 14th, 2018 in Reno, NV. Silvio was a loving father to Sonya (Mariotti) Cottam, and father-in-law to David Cottam of Massachusetts. He adored and loved his two grandchildren, Georgia and Cora, and cherished the times spent with them. Silvio is also loved and remembered by his siblings and their families: Romana Ramacciotti of Lucca, Italy; Paula Holley of Sparks, NV; Giovanna Zinn of Susanville CA, and Rosalba Lenihan of Susanville, CA. Silvio was also the loving companion of Lia Puccinelli of Sacramento for the past 22 years. Silvio is preceded in death by his parents: Lorenzo and Elisa Mariotti; brothers: Sergio, Renzo, and Danielle Mariotti; and sister Silvana Cassettari. Silvio also leaves many nieces and nephews, and countless number of friends in Boston, Reno/Sparks, Sacramento, Australia and his beloved Italy.

Born in Tereglio, Italy (Lucca), Silvio resided there throughout childhood. As an adult he spent time in Australia before ultimately settling in Sparks, NV. He worked for many years for the City of Sparks, Public Works department. Silvio was a kind man with a love of life – he enjoyed his family, travel, cooking, gardening, music and playing Bocce. He has made many friends in his long life and will be dearly missed by all.

A private ceremony will be held for immediate family.
