Obituary for Diana Maloy

Diana Maloy, 58 of Reno, Nevada passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 after a long and valiant struggle with breast cancer.
She was born September 21, 1959 in Reno, Nevada to Bill and Mary (Albanese) Maloy. She grew up with her two brothers, Tim and Donny in Reno attending Our Lady of the Snows Elementary School and Bishop Manogue High School, where she graduated in 1977. Upon graduating from high school, she attended the Reno Business College where she earned an associates degree. She worked in retail and the telecommunications industry for over 40 years.
Diana loved her family dearly and being with them always gave her great joy. She never missed a family gathering and she cherished holiday occasions. She enjoyed country music and going to the movies. She loved George Strait and was a very proud member of his fan club. She was a kind, loving soul who never let the diagnosis of cancer dampen her spirit or take away her joy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Maloy. She is survived by her mother, Mary Maloy, brothers, Tim (Laurie) Maloy and Donny (Patti) Maloy, nieces, Annmarie (Nick) Chavez, Carlee and Becca Maloy, nephew, Brad (Andy) Maloy and great nephew/niece, Dominic and Ava Chavez.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of the Snows Church. Following the service there will be a celebration of life at Pinocchio’s Bar and Grill on South Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moms on the Run to support women who are fighting breast cancer.
