Obituary for Robert Eugene Cox

Robert E. Cox passed away at the age of 82 from a long term illness of Parkinson's Disease. Bob was born in Beaumont, California on January 31, 1936. He lived in Santa Maria, California until 1972, then he moved to Sparks, Nevada.
Bob joined the Army National Guard in 1954 and served 3 years. In 1956 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served 4 years.
He had a love for hunting, camping and water skiing. Christian by faith, Electrical Contractor by trade. He is survived by his brother, David (Bonnie) Cox of Santa Barbara, CA., former wife, Evadne (Jim) Stevenson of Sparks, NV., son, Robert (Leann) Cox of Templeton, CA., daughter, Jeanice (Leonard) Almaraz of Sparks, NV., son, Eric (Kelli) Cox of Sparks, NV., son, Travis Cox of Orlando, Fl., 9 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren.
We wanted to acknowledge his granddaughters, Kristen & Jenni and their families for spending his last days around the clock with him. They always brought a smile to his face and were able to make him laugh even during his last days. Also thank you to Manor Care and the nurses that showed such kindness to us during our fathers last days. We are truly grateful.
A service will be held at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 14 Veterans Way in Fernley, NV., May 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
