Obituary for Virginia "Ginger" Elliott

Virginia “Ginger” Elliott, age 73, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. Ginger was born on September 9, 1944 in Anaheim, CA to Clifford and Lois (Miller) Rettig. She was a graduate of Anaheim High School, Class of 1962, and was employed at UPS for many years before becoming a realtor after moving to Reno in 1994. She was kind, smart, adventurous, an avid reader, cat lover, and a beautiful kid at heart. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Ginger is survived by her longtime partner, Raymond Nicolai; daughters, Christina (Tom) Gorman and Deborah (Les) Gogerty; 6 grandchildren, Rhiannon (Henry), Ryan, Keegan, Molly, Ashley, and Samantha; 2 great-grandchildren, Henry and Olivia; sister Patricia (Dan) Green; and nephews, Clint and Mike.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Walton’s Funeral Home - Sierra Chapel, located at 875 W. 2nd Street in Reno. Memorial contributions can be made in Ginger’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
