Obituary for Marisa Faith Francovich

On April 10, 2018 Earth lost a bright and shining star that was filled with unrealized dreams, larger than life hopes, compassion, kindness for everyone and enormous potential. Marisa lost her 2.5 year battle against liver disease. Marisa Faith Francovich born October 24th, 1982 could never fully appreciate that she was all of “That” and more.
Those who genuinely loved Marisa knew that she cherished her time, her life and the opportunities provided to her by Samuel and Diane Francovich her loving and bereaved parents. Marisa was their only child.
Grand Parents (Samuel and Lillian Francovich) and (Carl and Faith Ernest) who preceded her into her eternal journey knew how much Marisa, a sixth generation Reno resident, appreciated the importance and the legacy of family. Marisa was an old soul and was proud of the traditions she inherited from her sage and wise predecessors.
Her Aunts and Uncles, Debbie and Michael Stoker, Gail and Dan Garfinkle, Jeff and Vickie Francovich, Carleen Ernest, Cynthia Francovich, Mark Francovich and their children adored their niece and cousin for many reasons but primarily because she made each of them feel exclusive as if they were her favorite.
Marisa was an accomplished equestrian and skier, had excellent culinary skills and worked in the restaurant industry since the age of 18. This led to her becoming a knowledgeable restaurant management consultant. She also served as an intern for senator John Ensign and a lobbyist for the state of Nevada. Marisa was passionate about “passing it forward”, was generous and served on the boards of several charities where she was crucial to their fund raising efforts. She was a graduate of Reno High and attended UNR. She lived and served her community all of her young 35 years.
Those who took the time to peer beneath the surface into her soul knew that if she cared about you, she told you so. Marisa was not shy about sharing her feelings. She loved hard and played hard hoping for a relationship like that of her parents. Believing in unconditional love and her desire to be loved guided her existence.
Marisa you were all “That” and more. Rest in Peace our lovely baby girl. There was a need in heaven for your warm kindness and compassion for others. God chose you. It is our loss and the Kingdom’s gain. Now spread your wings and fly like you never have before.
In lieu of flowers, the Family requests you send gifts to the “The Marisa Francovich Memorial Fund” benefitting victims of crime, care of Meadows Bank, Reno Nevada.
