Cullen Dewitt Ussery Sr., 83, of Sparks, NV, died peacefully in his sleep, Monday, March 26, 2018.
Mr. Ussery was born September 6, 1934 to William A. Ussery and Ludie A. Ray Ussery. He was a Master Sergeant in the United States Army, a Korean War Veteran and a former employee of the University of Nevada.
Mr. Ussery was predeceased by his wife, Polk Cha Ussery, in 2014.
Surviving Mr. Ussery are his children, Cullen Dewitt “Pete” Ussery Jr. of Atkins, AR and Beverly Ann Braxton and husband Bruce of Buffalo, SC; 5 grandchildren, Leslie Braxton Alexander and husband Drew of Spartanburg, SC, Jessica Braxton Whisnant and husband Brice of Union, SC, Kymberly Hope Ussery and partner Robbie Leftridge of Florence, SC, Travis Ussery of Atkins, AR, Bradley Ussery and fiancé Tinea Jones, of Morrilton, AR; 5 great-grandchildren, Blake Leftridge, Ella Grace Alexander, Rowan Whisnant, Braxton Whisnant, and an unborn great-granddaughter, Opal Ussery.
Cullen’s final resting place will be beside his beloved, Cha, at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernly, NV.
