Obituary for Donald Lee Becker

Born March 7, 1928 in Portland, Or. to Helen and Henry Becker. Passed away 3 days shy of his 90th birthday, surrounded by family and friends. He was raised in Oroville, Ca.
Don did things his way. He served his country in the Navy. Don loved building and built 20 plus motels with Red Lion, Shilo and others, including one of his own in Moab, Utah. He also built a warehouse in Kennewick, Washington, using river rock from the Columbia River. Don also built homes for himself and his family, which he loved.
In later years, Don loved to travel with his second wife Gimmie going to places like Alaska, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, South America and throughout the United States.
He loved seeing wild animals, sightseeing, doing white water rafting (jet boats), going to shows and roller coasters.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ralph, First wife, Bernice and son, Stuart. He is survived by his wife, Gimmie, son, Kenneth, daughters, Pam, Karen, Susan and Judy; 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson and his extended family, Richard, Kathy, Tony, Tonya, and many other special friends.
A private celebration with family and friends will be at a later date.
