Ron embraced life in all forms; people animals and nature. As a boy, he enjoyed playing outdoors with his friends and camping with the family. He was a dog lover, and had four dogs in his lifetime. Ron was also a car buff, and built two hot rods in his high school and college years. He was a basketball enthusiast, shooting hoops with his friends and following his favorite NBA team, the Lakers. Ron enjoyed rock climbing, competitive bike racing and became highly skilled at kayaking. He instructed kayaking while at Yavapai College. Ron toured the Grand Canyon by kayak, always able to flip back up; a trip he considered a lifetime achievement. A lifelong student of Spirituality, Ron was a member of Unity Church of Carson City. He studied A Course in Miracles for 20+ years, serving as a teacher in one of their online chat rooms. Ron often connected with God through meditation in the great outdoors. He shared that Divine inspiration and Love with us through his "God-given" artistry of photography. Thus, his memory lives on.
