She married Teague G. Walls, also active in the Knights of Pythias and was a longtime friend of the family, spending the last 40 years of their lives together.
Among her many community endeavors, Rita Lou served as secretary for American Legion Auxiliary Duby Reid Unit #30 and was deeply involved in Toll Painters where her many painted china creations were widely acclaimed.

Rita Lou was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, David Evans.

A service, conducted by the Pythian Sisters, will be held at Walton’s Funeral Home at 875 West Second Street, Reno, on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10AM.

A “Gathering of Friends and Family”, hosted by the Knights of Pythias, will follow the service at the Pythian Hall located at 980 Nevada Street, Reno, next to the Lou Berrum Memorial Pythian Cemetery.
