Life Story for John R. Lahair Jr

John R Lahair Jr. of Dayton , NV passed away on November 23rd, 2017 he is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Lois A. Lahair. John was born in Worcester, MA, son of the late John R and Violet Lahair Sr. John came from a very large and loving family, he was the oldest of 10 siblings, George Lahair of FL., Bruce Lahair wife Donna Lahair of MA., Jay Lahair of MA., Deborah Sillanpaa husband Steve Boyd of VT., and sister-in-law Cheryl Lahair. Predeceased sibling, Violet (Babe) McClintock, Rose Olson, Carol Gambrel, Gale Lahair, and Edith McCuen.

John was also blessed with five children whom he loved with all of his heart. John R Lahair III of Dayton, NV. Longtime family friend (daughter) Brandee V. Cislini, Daniel M. Lahair of Reno, NV, Monique L. Mercier husband Craig A. McQueary of Carson City, NV, Dianne Lahair Byrum husband Lynn Byrum of NC., and Denise Lahair Boatright of NC. He also has five grandchildren, whom he adored, Ashle’ R. Lahair, Cierra E. Lahair, Devlynn J. Lahair, Garret A. Cislini, and Brianna I. Mercier. John had many many nieces and nephews who he also loved very much. John was a Veteran of the Korean War he was a member of the Air Force and often spoke of his time in Germany where he was stationed. John was a New England sports fan; Celtics, Bruins, Red Sox, and of course, Patriots, and none of his children or grandchildren ever missed an opportunity to sit and watch a game or two with him. He loved to golf and bowl and did it often with either his wife or his sons. John also enjoyed drawing and painting with both of his granddaughters. He loved his wife’s cooking according to him there was none better. It was an honor to know him, and a privilege to be loved by him, and we will never be the same without him.

Services for john will be held at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley Located at 1281 N. Roop Street, Carson City, NV on December 9th at 10:00am with a reception to follow.
