Obituary for Patricia A. Strong

It is with sadness that the family of Patricia A. Strong announce her passing on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Pat, 74, was born to Richard J. Taylor and Nevada E. Gelmstedt on March 2, 1943.
A native of Reno, Pat graduated Reno High School in 1961 and joined the Nevada Air National Guard shortly thereafter.
During her career she was in the Base Personnel Office and became the 1st Sergeant for the 152nd Maintenance Squadron, enjoying a 32 year career until retiring in 1995.
Pat loved her family and enjoyed traveling, reading, and monthly bunko with friends.
Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Strong, and is survived by her brother, Tom Taylor of Sparks, two sons, Randy Strong (Carolee Jones) of Sparks and Darryl Strong (Matt Borowski) of Phoenix, AZ., two grandchildren, Derek and Halle, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A public viewing will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 9am – 11am at Walton’s Funeral Home (875 W Second Street) immediately followed by a funeral service. Entombment will then take place at Mountain View Cemetery.
