Obituary for Leno P. Aiazzi

eno Aiazzi passed away on Oct. 31, 2017 at the age of 95. Leno was a native Nevadan born Jan. 12, 1922 on the Aiazzi Ranch in Yerington, NV to Emilio and Venilia Aiazzi, Italian immigrants. He grew up in Yerington and lived in Reno since 1948. He served in the Signal Corps during World War II in the South Pacific Islands. He married Wanda Moore of Kansas City, MO. They made their home in Reno, where they raised sons: Tony, Roger & Jeff. Leno's entire career was devoted to banking which started in 1946 in Yerington. He moved to Reno in 1948 where he worked his way up to become President of Pioneer Citizens Bank. Leno belonged to the Italian Benevolent Society, Sons of Italy and was also a member of the St. Albert's Catholic Church. Leno was preceded in the death by wife Wanda; son, Roger; great grandson Keegan; and six siblings. He is survived by one brother, Reno "Gus" Aiazzi of Yerington; sons: Tony (Suzie) and Jeff; daughter-in-law Sarah; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Sat., Nov. 11th at the Walton's Sierra Chapel: 875 W. 2nd street, Reno, NV, followed by a Reception at the West 2nd Events Center: 600 W. 2nd Street, Reno, NV.
