Amelia R. Letizia

Born June 12, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY to Arthur and Lucille LaFrance Called to heaven October 2, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV after a long illness; she was surrounded by her family.

Moved to Burbank, CA in 1943; grew up in Southern California where she later met the love of her life. Married Dominic A. Letizia November 19, 1955; remained happily married until his passing in 2001.

Moved to Carson City, NV in 1971
Owned and operated Amelia¹s Ladies Clothing store with her husband for close to 20 years. The family were members of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Ready for a change and warmer weather, she and her husband moved to Las Vegas in 1994, where they were eventually joined by all of their children and grandchildren.

The most important things to her were her faith, family and friends. She enjoyed nothing more than cooking for those she loved, as well as bowling, volleyball, dancing and playing cards.
She was the most beautiful, generous soul who will be missed beyond measure.

Survived by her four children: Russell Letizia, Anthony Letizia, Lori
(Frank) Mandracchio and Bernadette Letizia; two grandchildren Amber
(Tyson) Searle and Brandon Letizia; two great grandchildren Ryder Searle and Elle Searle, a nephew and niece.
Visitation will begin at 4:30p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19 with Rosary will be at 5:30p.m. at the Walton’s Chapel of the Valley 1281 N. Roop St. Carson City with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. on Friday, Oct. 20 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 3000 N. Lompa Lane Carson City. Followed by entombment at the Walton’s Carson Gardens Cemetery.
