Obituary for Margaret Ann Anderson

Margaret Ann Anderson was born in DeSmit, South Dakota on September 13, 1936 to David and Bessie Van Hee. She then lived in Marshall Minnesota for five years before moving to Minneapolis.
Margaret and her husband Stuart were married for over 64 years. They have five children: David John Anderson, married to Renee of Jacksonville, Florida, James Stuart Anderson, married to Geneva of Bismarck, North Dakota, Donald William Anderson, married to Diane of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, Nancy Jean Evan, married to James of Monroe, Michigan and Debra Joan Murray, married to Michael of Reno, Nevada.
Margaret had a brother Joseph, deceased, and a sister, Patricia Herbert of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Margaret and Stuart have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Marge also supported a child from the Philippines for 19 years.
Margaret was a talented crafter, to include quilting, stained glass, painting and yard art.
Marge spent many hours as a Cub Scouts Den Mother. She received recognition from Clark County Child Haven for her many handmade teddy bears for young children. In 1992, she was recognized as the Citizen of the Year in Columbia Heights, Minnesota.
Services will be held at Walton’s Funeral Home. A viewing will be on Friday, October 6, 2017 starting at 1pm. Funeral Services will follow at 1:30.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Kiwanis Club of Reno Sunrisers at Box 20847, Reno, NV 89515.
