Dylan Andres Rutherford, 15, of Reno, Nevada, walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 1, 2017. He was known by many nicknames such as Golden Boy, Reno, Dynamite, Dietz, Dill, Ruthie, Tommy, & Slate.

Dylan was born in Reno on November 18, 2001 and is survived by his mother Pamela; his father Adam; his brother Ryan; and his sisters Karisa & Ashley all from Reno/Sparks. He is also survived by his grandparents Roger & Kathleen Andres of Prescott, AZ, and Monte Rutherford & Heidi Goodgame of North Bend, OR.

Dylan was a sophomore at Bishop Manogue Catholic High School where he played football. Last year, as a freshman at the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad, CA, Dylan started on the varsity football and baseball teams. He was also one of their most successful varsity wrestlers earning first team all-league honors. When Dylan was not playing organized sports at his schools, he loved playing basketball, snowboarding, surfing, riding ATV’s & dirt bikes, fishing, playing video games, hanging out with his friends, and making everyone around him laugh.

Dylan touched lives both near and far with his infectious personality and soul filled heart. He was loved and will be missed by many.
