Obituary for Sally Elizares Luscavage

Sally Elizares Luscavage, 61, of Reno, passed away peacefully at home on August 18, 2017 after a valiant battle with cancer. A beautiful redhead, Sally was born in Oakland, CA on September 25, 1955 to Frank and Margaret Elizares. Sally retired from the Washoe County School District as Position Control Specialist in December 2015. She was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church where she shared her beautiful singing voice in the choir.

Sally was an active volunteer and an advocate for children. She embraced her Hawaiian heritage. She touched many lives with her compassion, thoughtfulness and joy, but of her many attributes and gifts, her lasting legacy is love.

Sally leaves behind her husband David Luscavage; mother Margaret Elizares; brothers Jack (Caren) Elizares; Jim (Lori) Elizares; sister Claudia Valencia; brother Frank Vanderford, daughter Gwen (Kent) Arps, as well as grandchildren, nieces, nephews, Godchildren, cousins and many cherished friends.

A Catholic Mass will be held at St. Albert the Great in Reno, NV on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, 1:00 pm, followed by a short graveside service at Mountain View Cemetery, Reno, NV.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Sally Luscavage may be made to UNBOUND.org, a sponsor of children from countries around the world.
