Obituary for Charlys Waldrop

Charlys passed away on July 2, 2017 at 3:57 p.m. She was born on Sept. 3, 1936 in Reno and grew up in Fallon.
She was married to Gary Waldrop for nearly 40 years, she retired from Nevada Bell after 23 years. Gary followed her lead in 1999 so they could travel to Canada, Hawaii, Switzerland, and all across the United States in a series of fifth wheel travel trailers, their home on wheels, until she began to suffer from a back injury.
Active in La Sertoma, Charlys filled the role of International Director.
Charlys was active in the Sparks United Methodist Church, she served 3 years as President of United Methodist Women. She was in charge of at least 3 UMW rummage sales.
Charlys Waldrop is survived by her husband, Gary, her oldest son, Fritz Fleischmann (Karen), her youngest son, Phillip Fleishcmann (Anna), her six grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her 2 sisters: Elaine Hesselgesser, and Phylis Russell.
Her memorial service is scheduled for July 15, 2017 at 3p.m. at Sparks United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorial donations be made to United Methodist Women.
