Elise Hall, 95, ended her journey on this earth on May 19, 2017. She was born in Birdie, Mississippi and moved to Reno, Nevada where she married Dr. Wesley W. Hall on April 21, 1945.
Elise was involved and held offices in numerous organizations, but those she was most passionate about include AWCMS (formerly known as Doctors’ Wives of Washoe County), Monday Club (Nevada’s oldest chartered women’s organization), and PEO Chapter Q.
The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for their loving care in helping us through this transition process. A special thanks to Sarah Dickens for her extraordinary kindness. They would also like to thank those special people who helped make Elise’s last weeks more comfortable: Claudia Gomez, Cynthia Moore, Jan Casci, Linda Russell, Patsy Buckley, and Sheryl Wood. Lastly, thank you to Dr. Richard Ganchan, Katie Locke, and Sue Haug for going above and beyond with her medical care.
Elise was lovingly referred to as “Bice” and as the matriarch of her large, devoted family. She was preceded in death by her first husband Wesley Hall and her second husband Paul Richards. She is survived by her children Caroline Murphy (Marvin), Bud Hall (Robin), and Peggy Franklin (Ken) and her step-children Wesley Hall (Anne) and Susan Thompson (Kerr). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
In honoring her request, there will be no funeral. Instead, remember her by doing the things she loved. Take a friend to lunch. Pamper yourself with a facial (thank you Elisabeth). Enjoy a mani and pedi (thank you Michelle). But most of all, spend time and make memories with your family.
