Condolence: My deepest sympathy on the passing of Dr. MacKay. She was a wonderful person, kind, compassionate and indeed as many have mentioned, an outstanding mentor. Shortly after arriving in Corbin I went to work at DCI, although I knew nothing about dialysis3. With her help, and others, I was able to learn & adapt. I was able to enjoy many years working there with her. Before & after her retirement she invited us to her home so that we could all re-visit our days together.
I know you all will be sharing family times & memories. Please know that she will be missed sorely by many others. May the Lord greet her & send his comfort to you all.

Condolence From: Norma Barnhart
Condolence: I am very saddened to hear of the passing away of Dr. Jean Jorjani, a beautiful woman, inside and out. I have known Jean since I was in college, many years ago. I have visited her home in Corbin, Ky many times and enjoyed the camaraderie.
I have not seen Jean in a long time; however, I have a couple of times spoken to her by phone, when my friend Maryam would call her daily!! Jean, despite her weak physical condition, always asked about my mom, who has been bedridden for 4 years due to double strokes. Jean always remembered to ask..I really appreciated that.
I shall miss Jean and I will miss listening to my friend Maryam, say each evening: "oh, I have to call Jean", then it was nice, now it is lonesome to not be able to hear her voice again.
However, I must say that I truly believe Jean is in a better place and free of pain. I shall always remember her and my times in Corbin, and her beautiful house and country-setting. May God have mercy on her soul.
Love you Jean. Rest in Peace. Someday, we will all see you again!!!

Condolence: Dr. Jorjani, Linda, David & Daniel & family, I am so sadden to hear of Dr. Jean's passing, you are all in and my thoughts and prayers. She was such a remarkable doctor, but not only that she was a kind, generous and loving person, who always thought of everyone else first. She has made such a tremendous impact on so many lives and will be sadly missed. She was such a presence at the local dialysis clinics. It was a blessing to know her. Fondly remembering one of the most amazing women, I have ever known.

Condolence From: Mona Dean
Condolence: It truly was an honor and delight to work w/ Dr.Mackay at Comp Care in Corbin. She was a psychiatrist and treated the chronically mentally ill in various counties in eastern KY; I was an RN making home visits in those counties. We felt comfortable w/ calling her Jean, at her insistence. She taught me how to be a better mental health nurse and I considered her to be a mentor. I absolutely adored her for her expertise, sense of humor, and her collegiality. Condolences to the family who must be grieving beyond belief. Rest in peace, Jean.
