Obituary for Dr. Jean MacKay Jorjani

Dr. Jean MacKay Jorjani left us on this earth on March 9, 2017 in the loving care of her daughter in Reno, Nevada. Born June 14, 1930 on the Isle of Mull, Scotland, she spent cherished time with brothers Bobbie and Calder, and her best friend and sister Flora through the war years. She graduated from Oban Highschool in 1947 and the University of Glasgow medical school in 1952. After working in London, she moved to the United States in the late 1950s where she met the love of her life fellow doctor Manoochehr Jorjani. They eventually settled in Corbin, Kentucky and raised Linda, David, and Daniel where they had a medical practice. We'll forever cherish her for all she taught us and the countless lives she impacted. In addition to her husband, children and sister Flora, she will be dearly missed by her 6 beloved grandchildren as their Nana, who brought her so much joy.
There will be no public visitation or funeral. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary's Hospice, 690 Sierra Rose Dr., Reno, Nv 89511
