On September 5, 2016 Carla Jean Cox Johnson, passed away peacefully. She is now reunited with her eternal companion, Richard H. Johnson.
Carla will be remembered for her selfless love and service. She taught in the school district for more than 17 years. She has been active in her church all her life teaching children and adults.
Over the last several years she has dedicated, even worn out her life in genealogical research and LDS Temple work. Carla’s reach and impact will be felt for many years to come.
Carla, known as Darling Ma, is survived by her three children: Lorna Whaley, Lisa Stolzenburg, R. Lane Johnson, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2505 Kings Row, Reno - on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
