Condolence: On behalf of the staff and Board of the United Way, I want to share my deepest sympathy and sorrow about Jim Elston's passing. He is remembered and appreciated for his legacy of giving and volunteering.
Condolence: As a daughter, I was so proud to have a dad as kind and giving as he was. Some of the fondest memories include the many "father, daughter" dinners growing up. I always chose my favorite Mexican restaurant.
Another memory growing up as a kid the loose change dad would often surprise me by leaving on my dresser.
As I grew older the times he and I often walked the golf course together often not saying much but teaching me the art of patience. We often over the years watched the Masters tournaments together or shared the daily results over the phone if one of us missed a great moment.
When my son Micheal was born and grew into a wonderful athlete, dad was amazed at his natural talents and my son shared many sweet stories of his time when he came to visit.
I was grateful to have spent some time with him just two weeks before he went to the Lord and for that I thank him and God for that time.
I love you daddy and we will see each other again someday. God bless Love and devotion - your daughter Lori
Condolence: Dear Mark I just learned of your father's passing and I am so sorry. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I have wonderful memories of you and your family, especially your dad. Blessings and Godspeed.
Condolence: My sincerest condolences to Elston family. Losing a loved one is one of the painful things in this world, no one wants this even our loving Father. It is comforting to know that God deeply cares about us and would soon act to eliminate death. (1 Peter 5:7; Revelation 21:4) May you find comfort from these scriptures and be encouraged that we will soon meet Jim again.
Condolence: I had the pleasure of knowing Jim, professionally while working with him at FNB and later many times at Bruno's feeds. He always went out of his way to acknowledge me. Later after we had retired I would see him and JoAnn in Graeagle and again what a pleasure. He was a great man and I will miss him dearly. God bless to you, JoAnn and family.
