Condolence From: Bryan Mooney
Condolence: Mr. Zielony was my coach at Jesuit High School in 1976 & 1977 and my history teacher in 1977. He took the time to teach me to play my position and believed in what I could do. He was tough but fair and laughed with us a lot. He obviously loved what he did and it showed.
Something made me look him up today only to find out that he was gone. Wow, what a blow. It is hard to think that he is gone. I remember going to see him at a high school in Imperial Beach, California. He had just gotten a coaching job there and we had just started college at the University of San Diego in 1977. I will remember him always.
