Obituary for Paige Leann Van Ornum

Paige Leann Van Ornum
Paige Van Ornum lived a fun, loving, however short, 10 years of life. She was born September 16, 2004, and passed unexpectedly on March 3, 2015. Paige was the second daughter that Josh and Amanda were blessed to bring into this world. She brought so much joy to every life that she touched.

Paige lived with a disorder known as cyclic neutropenia, an illness that neither she nor her parents let define her existence. Her friends knew her as a sweet, very loyal, forgiving young lady. She was also described as spunky, with a silly sense of humor that made everyone around her laugh. Paige was quite the prankster, and was always playing jokes on everybody, just wanting to make those around her smile.

Her parents describe Paige as “bright and loving, who was funny, and could make anyone laugh. She was a ray of sunshine that could brighten the darkest day. Paige loved music, arts and crafts. She was a cuddle bug and enjoyed camping and shooting. She is loved by friends, family, people she just met, and by people who only heard stories about her. She was a strong, good natured person who would help anyone. She was wise beyond her years.”

Paige’s passing has left a void in every life that she has touched. She is survived by her mother, Amanda; father, Joshua; sister, Alyssa; grandmother, Carla Van Ornum; grandparents, Kathy and Rick Maxwell; great-grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The majority of her family resides in Reno, Nevada. Paige will be missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cold Springs Middle School, 18235 Cody Ct., Reno, NV at 12 noon on Saturday, March 14, 2015. All are invited to join and celebrate.
