Obituary for Angela Maria Martin Zuliani

Angela, 98, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2014 at The Little Angel Care Home, Sparks, NV. The eldest of four children, Angela was born December 8, 1915 in Castions di Zoppola, Udine, Italy to Giovanni and Rosa Brusutti Martin. In June 1926, Angela and her family traveled to North America, going through Ellis Island and settling in Windsor, Ontario Canada where she lived until she met her future husband, Remigio (Raymond) Zuliani. In 1936 Angela and Raymond moved to Detroit MI where both of their sons were born. In 1946, the family moved out West to Castroville, CA and in 1948 moved to Burbank, CA and stayed there until 1978 when they moved to Rancho Cordova, CA in order to be closer to their sons and their families. Angela resided in Rancho Cordova until the passing of her husband, Raymond and in 1991 moved to Reno, NV to be closer to her son, Don and his family.

Shortly after arriving in Reno, Angela joined the Sparks Senior Citizens Center where you could find her every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, joining her many friends in their exercise class. She loved to work in the yard and also liked to bake and was quite famous in the neighborhood for her almond biscotti cookies.

She is survived by her two sons; Robert (Ellie), Don (Mary); three grandchildren; Michelle (Keith) Jess, Mike (Julie) Zuliani, and Tony Zuliani and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Danny (Connie) Martin, sister-in-law Julie Martin and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements to be handled by Walton's Funeral Home, Sparks, NV., with a private family service to be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Sacramento, CA.

A special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful and loving care during the last year of her life, especially Sue, Suzanne, Margie and all her CNA's. And also to Dr. Michelle J. Kiser, her physician for the past 10 years. Also a very special thank you to Erlinda, her caregiver at Little Angel Care Home.

Mom, you will be missed and will forever, remain in our hearts. Rest in Peace.
