Lawrence H.  Zunino
Lawrence H. Zunino, July 15th, 1942 – September 5th, 2013

Lawrence Henry Zunino, 71, of Reno, passed away Sept 5, 2013 at home surrounded by family after battling cancer. He was born July 15, 1942 in Reno, NV to Olga (Gardella) and Henry Zunino. He was preceded in death by his parents and aunt Mary Gardella.

Upon graduating from Reno High School, he served in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge, he worked briefly as a meat cutter before starting his career with the Washoe County Road Dept. He retired in 1997 after 32 years of dedicated service. He was an active member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish as well as a long time member of the Reno Sons of Italy.

He is survived by Madeleine, his loving wife of 31 years. They shared a passion for hunting, fishing, boating and travel. He is also survived by his son Brett (Kim) Zunino, daughters Tana Zunino, Nicole (Roger) Wise, and grandchildren Nicolo, Kellsy, Krystal, Kayla, Tyler, Lilly and Sebastian.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at Walton’s Funeral Home, 875 W. 2nd Street on Wednesday September 11th at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, 1138 Wright Street Reno on Thursday September 12 at 10am. There will be a private family burial.
